Free Soul School
Music Workshops
The Free Soul School music workshops is the backbone of the Foundation.
The workshops are organised as a part social and part musical experiment, by bringing together a random group of musicians, and record whatever spontaneous songs and melodies come up. All music is made on the spot, with no rehearsals, no preparation, just as is. The participants then use one week to record and produce all the music, and on the final day the mixing and mastering is made. The Free Soul Music is all made with the intention to bring everyone together, and in a true co-creative united spirit, to practice what we know in the here and now.
By joining the Free Soul School Music Workshops you join the international network of artists, connected through the Free Soul School community.
With each workshop, artists get to connect with other artists, and grow their potential of as part of a collective, and the skills needed to feel, listen and interact musically with others are broadened, and exploration into the co-creative collective strengthened.
As part of the album creational process, and by the release of the music into the international Free Soul School community, participants gets international promotion and the possibility to have contacts and network at hand. The participation on a Free Soul School Music Workshop, can thereby be the beginning of a international music career, generated organically, by the pure joy of creating what comes naturally, through friendships and connections made, by co-creating together.

Manifesting dreams
Do you have a dream of recording your voice, maybe some street performer experience? Maybe you have a guitar, a flute, or some drums you want to try out recording in a none judgemental environment? Maybe a Tuba, or a Kalimba?
Maybe you have some beautiful mantras to share, some ceremonial experiences with a shaker, singing bowl or a medicinal drum, that would be nice to share with others?
Maybe you have a nice poem you want to read out for us? Maybe a prayer to say?
Or maybe you suffer from stage fright, or microphone anxiety?
Maybe you are a professional musician, who has forgotten the joy of just playing, because of working n a competitive environment on a daily basis?
Then come by, and play with us. Together we play arround with the equipment, make friends, co-create and work with whatever comes, and most of all have fun while creating!
Here the process of creating is what's important, not the product. Not individual skills, but the shared skills of everyone involved!
We lift each other, and what comes out is a beautiful encapsulation of a moment shared.
This is the playground we call the Free Soul School!

How do you get inspired as an musician?
By going out, listening and enjoying? By travelling, looking inwards, or maybe towards the horizon?
Or do you find inspiration by doing, playing arround and finding new ways in experimentation? Is this process something that can be shared, or best made in private? Can you go out of you comfort zone in a group?
How do we cultivate inspiration, and how do we manage to save it, absorb it, for later use?
The Free Soul School Music Workshop is one way. Here we record our experimentation, go outside of our comfort zone together, and create something we never would have dreamed of doing on our own. And the album, will stand as a reference in prosperity.

Listening or Playing?
When you play music, jam, record, perform or do sound healings or channeling. Wich is more important, playing or listening?
Did you ever try a jam session, where you where so much in tune with the other musicians, you start anticipating what the others play, intuitively knowing what will happen next?
Or did you ever feel, in such a heightened state of mind, that the instrument seems to play on its own? Words seem to channel directly through, without any thought.
These are the spaces we try to facilitate, in the Free Soul School Music Workshop.
Where we set up a group of musicians, with no prior experiences of playing together, and se what intuitivly happens when we record whatever comes up. More often than not, we discover something surprising: The Unknown, Yet Know - fusions of the personal and the collective! And the true potential of pure co-creation reveals itself.
